ARIZONA WHEELS, DEALS, FIDDLES WITH ROSTER

Arizona—With relievers Justin Duscherrer and Huston Street on the DL, the D-Backs finally got some good news: not only would they regain the services of young gun starter Felix Hernandez, but they had acquired promising Zack Greinke, a former D-Back, in a trade with the Darwin Finches.
To get Greinke, Arizona sent a prospect (RHP Luke Hochevar) and IF Jose Lopez.

According to Arizona GM Ronald Melkonian, "Arizona is proud to acquire RHP Zack Grienke. Our organization has been taking a long look at this kid. He is young, and has everything you want in a pitcher: control and power pitches, and an extra bonus: creativity. We have sat down with him and hoped that he would love to pitch out of the pen for us; a place where he can put everything he is capable of to maximum use without holding back and he was thrilled to take that job. He will play a critical part in re-creating our bullpen."

"Yes," continued Melkonian, "while Ray and Cordero were good, they were closers and we already have one in Street: but Grienke is an arm that can do anything: pitch anywhere from 1 to 4 or even 5 innings with awesome stuff! He will bring balance to this pen and soon become a dominating force when he settles in making him an arm like no other!"

In other Arizona news, the club recalled talented young OF Jeremy Hermida, who has been nursing nagging woes since spring training but now seems primed to give the club help with the bat and the glove!

ROnald, are you sure you don't want to trade anyone else? Perhaps you can trade Jose Reyes and David Wright for Alex Cintron (I think he's available
).
