Actually, I think they fingered him for human growth hormone, which is now illegal under the current agreement. Since he broke the rules, I've determined he's not eligible for BARB play this year. I had to do something, since he will be eligible to play MLB this season and could even conceivably earn playing time with the parent club. I wanted to make sure that Schafer (and his club) are penalized for his cheating.
(Note: HGH wasn't prohibited by MLB at the time for most of the players identified with using HGH in the Mitchell Report. For example, Rick Ankiel took HGH, but legally, and under a doctor's supervision)

I knew that rise from .240 to .320 a year ago was BS. Cheaters are cheaters and I do not want to see him in Atlanta any time soon
