VIN SCULLY

I love this guy. I'd rather listen to him than my own team's broadcaster. San Diego fans love to beat the Dodgers, and I'm no exception. But if it's the first three innings, I'll take Vin over anyone, including Ted 'The Mouth' Leitner of my beloved Padres. I only switch to Ted and Jerry once Charley Steiner and Rick Monday take over the radio side for the (ugh) 'Blue Crew'.

When Scully and the Padres' Jerry Coleman retire, there will be no one left in the broadcast booth who will really remember what baseball was like before the designated hitter, the playoffs, Astroturf, free agency or the amateur draft! Really! Because these guys were both veteran broadcasters before any of that happened. Scully started in 1950, Coleman ten years later....!

I think SH said he's been waiting for a response from you so that we could get the stuff started.

I have nothing from him. What is it that he needs? I've been checking this site, and my email, everyday.

I think he's wanting to know when/if you can play the game. It was last Tuesday when I last talked to him, though.

Hey next year I was hoping we could plan the draft saturday a little further in advance? My new job is going to take three weeks for notice and I want to make sure I can go.

so... any communication would be great. Am I suppose to do something? Love to see if I actually make the playoffs or not

Eric, I e-mailed SH, and in it I suggested he e-mail you. I haven't heard from him, though.

Thanks, I received an email and hinted that other than this saturday, I am completely free.
