EXPERIMENTAL POST

This is just an experiment in formatting, listing all major-leaguers who had 33 or more HR last season.

Player, With Known Issues

A Rod (is not A Piston)

Peasant Fielder (not royal with the leather)

Ryan Seacrest (loves the Phillie Phanatic)

Adam Don't (take so many first pitches)

Matt Holy ___ (Toledo, of course)

Big Papi (bat's zappy, glove's crappy)

Jim Dome-y (no lie---went up two hats sizes in AA)

Ryan Brawn (would make an excellent DH)

Miguel Cabrera (the next Manny, in more ways than one)

Carlos Beltran (doesn't know how to trash-talk)

Alfonso Soriano (your most exciting Cub)

That's better.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh, mustn't mention certain players, someone might notice that they exist....

Like that wasn't going to happen. Oh well, I will now reformat the post so it won't confuse anyone.

Wait, isn't someone missing from this list? Maybe someone who plays in Florida?

to some extent matthew is correct in taht this league requires research and effort, which many owners ignore. On the other hand, HR is what most owners search by to start anyway, so very rarely does a 50+ HR campaign go unnoticed. Furthermore, Chris, not all players on the first list are owned. Lastly, when the research is more precise, such as fly out ratio or something, then please let owners do their own research.

the fact that this is even an issue to any owner is reason enough to stop doing this. youd think the lesson would be learned the first time outrage was expressed. maybe this time we will see no more future lists that involved players that are not already in BARB. this may seem like small potatoes, but ive spent the whole season researching players and now your just giving virtually all my research away for no reason. even if people already know about the players they may think more of them if you take the time to research and display them for the league. they could get drafted higher than they should and basically ruins everyone else. its nor fair. its not likely like im in contention for most of the impact players because i font have a first round pick but the obscure players you mention is just ridiculous. theyre going to get rounds higher because alot owners arent prepared and will just basically prepare themselves off of your list which is a heck of lot easier than monitoring each player as the year goes on or searching through various stat list.

actually eric, all of those guys are owned except thome, and im sure even the average fan heard of him.

i could see how the first list disappoints an owner, but the home run list? c'mon, it aint earth shattering info at all.

actually chris. SH revised the new HR list to exclude a player. the player is a sure fire first rounder but maybe he goes later in the round than earlier. but not now.
