YUMA LOOKING VULNERABLE?

At 51-33, with a 6 and 1/2 game lead in the West, no cause for panic---but the Firebirds are definitely scuffling. The loss of SS Miguel Tejada has given Nick Punto a lot of playing time, and this has pretty much negated the contribution of hot rookie Ryan Braun.

More problematic is the bullpen, where, despite some good numbers on the part of Shields, Soriano and Otsuka there has also been a flurry of blown saves. Roger Clemens (1-2, 3.81 ERA) hasn't been any better than Matt Cain in his first five starts, so the chances of them running away with their division here in August is not looking like the sure thing that it did two months ago.
