LP: Andy Pettite (8-5, 4.78)
Corey Hart hit a sac fly and a two-run double, and Tim Lincecum scattered two hits through seven innings as the Squirrels improved to a BARB-leading 69-42 as they enjoy by far the hottest streak by any club this season: Frostbite Falls has won 13 of their last 14 games. . .

Jose Guillen hit a pair of run-scoring triples and Barry Zito allowed just four hits in seven frames to help the Horned Toads (45-69, last in the West) to a rare road win against an Eastern Division club. With fairness to Worcester, however, their top three starters (Eric Bedard, Tim Hudson and Chris Young) have all been sidelined with injuries and they now face their toughest stretch of the year if they want to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot.

The Luchadores knocked out Ballers starter Matt Garza with a six-run fifth, but they couldn’t hold the lead, as their bullpen gave up five runs in the last two frames to drop a crucial matchup with their divisional rival. Oakeyland (55-58) once again regained the Central lead. Since July 1st, the Ballers have posted the second-best record in BARB (26-14), making up eight games on Las Vegas, which was below .500 (17-22) during that same stretch.
POTTSYLVANIA 8, S-MART 0
WP: Gil Meche (8-11, 2.91)
LP: Chuck James (2-8, 8.26)
Aramis Ramirez’s team-leading 19th homer of the season was a grand slam in the third, and Gil Meche combined with Brad Thompson on a four-hitter as the Creepers (a BARB-worst 42-73) beat up on the Boom Sticks, who have seen their lack of pitching depth catch up with them. S-Mart was right around .500 before July (36-37) but since then have posted a BARB-worst 11-38 mark.

sigh. im tired of having to repeatedly ask. How many games back am i? and can i have player stats?
Matt: You're probably around 5 games back. In the "Nine straight for Squirrels" game descriptions, I was 68-41 and you were 63-47, which is 5.5 games behind. I'm now 69-42, and you are either 64-48, 63-49 or 63-48, which comes to 5.5, 6.5 or 6 games back.
